Gas Rate Schedules

Water Rate Schedules

Schedule B

The gas rate includes the monthly service charge and the commodity charge.

The commodity charge is applied to each unit (therm) of gas used. The commodity charge is the sum of the weighted average cost of gas (WACOG) and the base commodity charge.

Included in the base commodity charge is an allowance for the cost to transport natural gas to our service area.

As the cost of gas varies from month to month, the WACOG and base commodity charge are adjusted to reflect the changes in the cost of purchased gas and peakshaving capital costs under the gas cost adjustment (GCA) provision in the published rate schedule.

The service charge covers administrative and operational costs incurred even if no gas is used by the customer. These costs include meter maintenance and replacement, leak detection, maintenance mains and services, meter reading, billing and collections.

The commodity charges for the past 25 months (excluding the statutory payment to cities) are listed below.
